God is doing some amazing things right now in the life of The Journey. People are finding Christ, we are about to launch two new locations, and many other great things are happening in the lives of people. These things are awesome, but there is still more to be excited about. The Journey is a mother/partnering church to The Summit Church that is planting in Seymour, TN (just outside of BIG ORANGE COUNTRY). They have been doing preview services on Saturday nights and things are really coming together for them.
I want to put out a challenge for the Savage Generation blog readers. I want you to consider how you can be a part of supporting and backing this new church start. Though we don't live close to them, it doesn't mean we can't be behind them in prayer and in things we could help with. For example, many of us here go out to eat at restaurants on a regular basis, but what if you took the money from one meal and decided to bless this church by offering them a resource. Pastor Bryan McKnight would be grateful, but more importantly, you would joining God in His mission to reach the people of Seymour. To help them out, look at their Wal-Mart Registry list and see if there are items you wouldn't mind assisting them to purchase.
God is working all over our great state. We have the privilege to not only be the church here in our region, but to help ignite a Jesus movement in Seymour as well.
