Churches Working Together
Rarely do you see churches work together! I'm sure that has been your experience, it has certainly been mine. I was encouraged in a major way yesterday. Randy Cook, pastor of Crossroads Community Church in Lebanon, wrote a blog about The Journey coming to Lebanon that was super encouraging and extremely rare. It blessed me to read that because often times churches get territorial when other churches enter their towns. Cheers to Randy and to the Crossroads Community! May God bless all their ministry efforts in the Lebanon community and may many people find Christ through their faith, love, and hope.

Checked it out...this is so great!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to see more churches working together...even planning vbs at different times so they don't compete..maybe having youth group 1x a month at a different church but where youth groups from around town all get together!
I think you are on to something Josh...there needs to much more collaboration in the body of Christ. We are stronger together than we are apart.
ReplyDeleteIt takes a very secure pastor both in who they are and in their calling from God, to work with another church. Far too often pastors can't cooperate because they are in direct competition for those people. But when secure pastors partner together instead of competing, entire cities can and will be won for Christ. Hartsville seems to be going in that direction!
ReplyDeleteChad, I agree...it looks as though a myriad of people are pulling together to see a church planted in Hartsville...pretty special to be a part of
